In an industry grappling with legacy systems and fragmented workflows, the rapid migration of 14 brands to a new platform by Bristol-based Our Media stands out. Over just 12 months, the publisher moved its entire web portfolio onto Purple, a SaaS platform with AI-driven content workflows and multi-channel capabilities. The effort wasn’t merely technical it was a strategic overhaul designed to streamline operations, reduce costs, and lay the foundation for future growth.
Running the initiative were Azir Razzak, CTO of Our Media, and Benjamin Kolb, CTO and co-founder of Berlin-based Purple. Together, they executed a tightly choreographed rollout that cut support costs by half, eliminated a year from the usual migration timeline, and established a repeatable model for scaling digital publishing.
