Last week I attended the International News Media Association (INMA) Media Subscriptions Summit in Amsterdam, this was another stellar conference which brought together 351 industry leaders from 170 companies across 28 countries to discuss the future of digital subscriptions.
The focus of the conference was primarily how publishers can engage new audiences and drive sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive landscape, one where publishers are competing with social media and streaming platforms in order to compete with consumers attention.
The media subscription model is evolving rapidly, and audience engagement is at the heart of sustainable success. This was a recurring theme over the three days and to stay competitive, publishers must prioritise the following areas:
